Botánica Fronteriza
Borderlands Botany and Botanists of Texas and Northern Mexico
Miscellaneous contributions to botanical knowledge by friends and acquaintances of the herbaria of The University of Texas at Austin
Botaníca Fronteriza is designed to provide an informal venue for the dissemination of information and data by botanists who study the floristics of western and southern Texas and the adjacent states of northern Mexican. The hope is that a wide variety of information and data will be contributed here, either sections of partially completed studies that may be published at a future date, or data or information that authors simply want to make available without formal publication. The kinds of information and works included here might include floristic works and species lists, collecting itineraries, biographies of lesser known collectors and botanists, images of plants, vegetation or botanists, and so on. Works can be in English or Spanish.
Inclusion in the website will not represent formal publication. All material may be reused without permission unless otherwise noted, but authors or creators and the Botaníca Fronteriza website should be acknowledged.
The Botanica Fronteriza High Committee for Enlightenment will decide on the appropriateness of submitted manuscripts and other works for inclusion, based both on the appropriateness of the subject matter and the editorial and scientific quality. The committee currently consists of Tom Wendt, George Yatskievych and David Riskind. Contact: twendt@austin.utexas.edu
